| Religion In Life® materials are designed for use in both single-grade and multi-aged classes. A table showing the programs appropriate to each age group is here. Each program in the Religion In Life® curriculum provides ample teaching materials for 40 half-hour teaching sessions and allows flexible use throughout the year. | |
| Three-year cycle of
programs
The Religion In Life® programs for children in the following age groups are organised into a three-year cycle of programs: * 6-8 years * 8-10 years * 10-12 years The materials for each of the programs in the three-year cycle consists of: * Full-colour books or tear-out papers, Parts 1 and 2, essential for each child; * Teachers’ Books, Parts 1 and 2, each with 20 detailed session plans; * Extra copiable worksheets to help teachers cater for the special needs of individual children. In particular, the copiable worksheets in the programs for children 6-8 years are, for the most part, designed for use with children in multi-aged classes who have not yet learned to read. |

| Further teaching programs
In addition to the programs in the three-year cycle, there are two further Religion In Life® programs. The Hello! material for children in their first year at school consists of a Teachers’ Book, Part 1 and 2, with a copiable worksheet for every session. Something Else! for students aged 12-14 years is published in four complementary modules which can be taught sequentially, or independently, as required. Each module consists of a resource book for the teacher, which provides 10 detailed session plans and ideas for extension work, and includes copiable student worksheets for each session. |

| Music cassettes
Hear the sounds and songs of Religion In Life®! Music cassettes are available for the programs in the three-year cycle and are issued in two parts to correspond with the music printed in the Teachers’ Books. The music from Hello! is also available on cassette. |

| New General Visual Pack
This supplementary set of 72 pictures is designed to illustrate many of the stories in Religion In Life® and as a basis for classroom discussion. These pictures are intended for use by teachers and not to provide colouring-in for students. Ideas and instructions for use are included. |

See Religion In Life® in action. The video A Great Learning Experience : An Introduction to Religion In Life® shows teachers using a variety of Religion In Life® teaching materials in the classroom. Other videos to assist teachers of religious education are also available. The videos may be borrowed or purchased from the Council for Christian Education in schools. |
